Ceresville Mansion is a European-inspired chateau turned wedding venue that was built in the late 1800s. The land was granted in the 1780s to General Otho Williams. He used the property to construct the Ceresville Grist Mill, a sawmill, and the original mansion home. The house stood proudly until 1816 when Edward Shriner purchased the home as an anniversary gift to his wife and commissioned the construction of the house now known as Ceresville Mansion. Today, the house remains a favorite wedding venue by both publications and couples alike. Over the course of 33 years, it has thrown over 5,000 events. The mansion has won countless awards and recognition for its commitment to throwing some truly spectacular events. Your wedding will be no exception!

Details of the Grounds
No matter the time of year, Ceresville Mansion has the right space for your wedding. For couples wanting an outdoor wedding, you can choose from three locations. The Garden Terrace features a reflection pond near a pergola constructed from Grecian columns. You will exchange your vows in front of the structure, with the ambiance of the water adding to the serene environment. The Riverside Meadow offers a more natural space. This open field has several trees that will serve as the backdrop where you will exchange vows. You will be near your guests and have the ability to create the perfect atmosphere for your ceremony. For couples who would prefer some shade for their outdoor event, you can use the Meadow Pavilion. This open-air space has paved concrete floors and a white cathedral ceiling.
If you would prefer to have your ceremony indoors, you can use the Grand Ballroom. This dreamy room features high ceilings with a bay window and a bronze-rubbed fireplace. Your event will feel intimate yet refined.
The Grand Ballroom tends to be the favored spot for receptions. This room will give you plenty of space to mix and mingle until it’s time to head over to the dance floor! All the outdoor spaces can also be used for your reception. The Garden Terrace is tiled to ensure your heels aren’t sinking into the grass. With all three options, you will be able to create a positively magical atmosphere with the right vibes for your dinner.

The interior of the house features several smaller parlors you can use for your cocktail hour. This option gives your guests the chance to explore the historic home and discover all the thoughtful details of the space. The Garden Terrace also works well for this option. Your guests can grab a signature cocktail before getting the chance to explore the grounds.
The Ceresville Mansion has two suites you can use to get ready prior to your wedding ceremony. The bridal suite is equipped with several vanities so you can sit down with your wedding party and put on the finishing touches. The groom’s room has snacks and drinks you can enjoy while you get ready.
The Grand Ballroom can accommodate up to 150 guests. Outside, the Garden Terrace can hold up to 250 guests, and the Meadow Pavilion can accommodate up to 175 guests.
The mansion is a refined two-story chateau with white paint and a charcoal gray roof. The interior features brass touches, elegant chandeliers, and paint colors that feel true to the home’s era. The reflection pool in the Garden Terrace has lilies, and there is ivy that creeps across the pergola. The Meadow Pavilion has an open field just outside of the structure.
