Last week Bethany, Brian, and their adorable puppy, Ollie met with me for their Georgetown University Engagement Session at sunrise. Fun fact, almost exactly 3 years to the date, I was at that same spot photographing a small wedding. Which is how I became familiar with that spot, to begin with.
Since then, I have always wanted to come back, and their choice for Georgetown University was perfect for their engagement!
Now on to their story, like many couples last year, they met online. And boy, I can only imagine how tough it was to date during a pandemic! They were set up on a blind zoom date, guys! I keep saying that I can relate to all couples who had to do it all online first for the first time.
Not only that, but Kyle and I also got married first and didn’t have a formal celebration until 4 years later, I think. So did these two lovebirds. They are officially married, so that’s technically their second engagement session. And I am glad they not only wanted to do it but also brought Ollie with them.
Their amazing reception is coming up next month at the TPC Potomac and I cannot wait! Just hearing about their plans I know it will be an amazing party. They will have details of their favorite show, Schitt’s Creek (can’t wait to see that!).
A cake topper of their two beloved pups (the second one didn’t make it to the photos). A live band (my fave!) and an Italian Ice/Custar truck. I mean, I bet you’re jealous you’re not invited now.
