About The Sagamore Pendry Baltimore Wedding Venue

1715 Thames Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21231

Sagamore Pendry in Baltimore is a waterfront hotel that was first constructed in 1914. The hotel is located inside the landmark Recreation Pier. This area once contained Locus Point, a spot where immigrants from across the globe would enter the country in pursuit of a better life. To this day, you can look on the ground and see engraved bricks commemorating the thousands of new citizens who once stood on this pier. The hotel itself remains stunning, standing proudly amidst the waters of the Patapsco River.

While the original charm remains intact, the hotel has all the latest luxuries to ensure you have everything you could need for a dreamy getaway. You’ll also have access to some of the best restaurants in the city while being within walking distance of major attractions. Out-of-town wedding guests will be able to explore the city throughout the weekend before coming back to their rooms and crashing in style!

Details of the Grounds

Sagamore Pendry gives you several indoor spaces ready to accommodate everything from late-night bashes to intimate elopements. The most beloved space is the Ballroom. This space is rich with details such as arched walkways and muted skylights. The Courtyard also tends to be a popular spot for this part of your day. The area is semi-enclosed, with fireplaces throughout. The area feels industrial chic with iron walls and rafters as well as concrete paving. Your guests will have several spaces where they can lounge before it’s time for the ceremony to begin.

For larger parties, The Ballroom is the spot for you. This area features over 4,600 square feet where your guests can mingle before dinner, eat a delicious meal, and then dance the night away. For more intimate parties, you might want to consider The Overlook at the Rec Pier Chop House. This area is located on the second store and features an iron balcony where your guests can look out at the hotel below. This gives you a cozy, semi-secluded spot while still bringing in the buzzing ambiance of the beloved restaurant.

Other Special Spaces Around The Sagamore Pendry Baltimore Wedding Venue

The Courtyard gives you a great spot for a cocktail hour. This area is expansive, with tables and chairs as well as comfortable furniture near the fireplace. For those who want something a little more luxurious, you might want to consider the Pool Deck on the rooftop. This space already has a built-in bar and private cabanas. There is also seating surrounding the pool. This area gives your guests a chic place where they can sip some signature cocktails before your reception begins.

The Sagamore Pendry Baltimore gives you the chance to rent out a hotel room or suite before your wedding ceremony. The rooms are large enough to hold your wedding party so you can get together with your besties and put on all the finishing touches before people start to arrive.

With the hotel, you will have room to host up to 360 seated guests and 400 standing guests.

The Ballroom is a positively stunning space decorated with an elegant French Revival touch. There are towering white archways across the entire room leading from one room to the next. The walls are painted a pale gray, and the ceiling contains elegant crown molding. The Courtyard is more modern with a glass ceiling giving way to an open-air plaza. There are concrete planters alive with plants and shrubs. The windows look into the hotel, tying in the interior elegance while giving you a secluded space.

Photography Opportunities

For both individual and couple wedding pictures, you really can’t beat the Sagamore Pendry Baltimore rooftop deck. Overlooking the city, this spot gives you a positively iconic backdrop. You can also go out in front of the hotel and get some portraits celebrating the venue. Inside the hotel, you’ll find grand staircases where you can capture all the details of your dress, such as the train. Because the pool deck is surrounded by a glass fence, you can safely stand in front of the waters without the encasing messing up a stunning view. Following the ceremony, you and your partner can wander around in front of the hotel near the other Baltimore landmarks.

Wedding Details

The hotel is going to make sure you have all the accommodations for a truly unforgettable day. First off, they’re going to take care of all the catering. Their on-site accommodations will be there whether you want the perfect customized meal or want to create signature cocktails. They even have add-ons such as raw bars. Their event managers will iron out all the details so your wedding day will be seamless. For your rehearsal, you will be able to chat with the hotel about using the Overlook at the Rec Pier Chop House. Afterward, you can use the hotel’s access to boats and water taxis for an unforgettable night out. The hotel will allow room blockings so you can accommodate your guests.
