333 W. Ostend Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21230
The Winslow is a historic Baltimore venue located inside the Parker Metal Building. The space was constructed just after the Second Industrial Revolution, breaking ground in 1919. Quickly, the Parker Metal Decorating Company became a leader in its field, creating stamped designs on metal sheets that would be integral to the local canneries. The factory made a little bit of everything from waste baskets to advertisements. The metal from these buildings was even used for the ultimate Maryland achievement: the original Old Bay can! While the factory may have ceased operations decades ago, the space is now used to throw events worthy of the history books! The center is operated by the same experts who operate the Washington Mill Dye House as well as The Loom at Meadow Mill. They know how to take an ordinary event and make it positively magical!
The Winslow Baltimore specializes in indoor weddings. The space is separated into four areas that you can use throughout the entirety of your wedding day. Most couples choose to use The Trainshed for their ceremony. This space features a metal roof supported by raw wooden beams. The area has been added onto the existing Parker Metal Building and maintains the original exterior wall incorporated into the rest of the room. Many couples choose to exchange their vows in front of this brick structure. The floor is polished concrete, and the current exterior walls feature floor-to-ceiling windows that invite in the outside.
Those looking for something a little more grand can use The Main Winslow Room. This space has vaulted ceilings as well as a mezzanine running across the room. Large windows and bistro lights will ensure your ceremony is well-lit.
The most popular area for receptions is The Main Winslow Room. This area has large, sliding doors you can use for your dramatic reveal once you’re announced. The area can easily accommodate a live band or a DJ. Your guests will get the chance to visit the Mezzanine and get a bird’s eye view of your event. You will have plenty of space for dancing following your dinner.
The Main Winslow Room can hold up to 400 guests and will accommodate up to 180 guests with dancing. The Trainshed can accommodate up to 250 guests for your ceremony and up to 150 guests for a seated dinner. The Mezzanine can hold up to 70 guests for a seated dinner. Smaller parties can use The Trainshed for their reception. Your guests will have excellent views of M&T Bank Stadium as well as plenty of space to party.
The Winslow Baltimore has a designated Cocktail Room you can use for your reception. The area has a built-in bar with a marble top. There is also a communal table running through the area so your guests can grab a cocktail and an hors d’oeuvre before sitting down to chat.
The venue has one bridal suite available on-site. You will have access to the room one hour before your ceremony begins. The venue suggests that you come with your hair and makeup already done so you can use the space to put on the finishing touches.
The exterior of the building has been painted white with a retro-inspired Parker Metal Building sign marking the space. The Trainshed has off-white walls as well as a brick wall with aqua-framed windows. The Winslow Room has a grand staircase, exposed brick, and a mezzanine encased with black iron railings going around the entirety of the space. The aqua windows are also visible in this space, and the floor is made from polished concrete.
The exterior of the The Winslow Baltimore building gives you a pretty iconic space for the backdrop of your portraits. Not only will this give you a neutral background, but you’ll also be able to find ways to incorporate the trademark Parker Metal sign. The downtown location also gives you the chance to walk around the city and find spots for your pictures. The grand staircase inside the building works well for couple’s pictures as well as individual pictures that show off all the details of your dress.
The owners of The Winslow know how to throw an unforgettable Baltimore event. Throughout your ceremony, you will have an on-site venue manager. They will be able to answer all your questions and ensure your day is running smoothly. The venue has a list of exclusive caterers you can use for your wedding. They will have access to the full on-site kitchen so they can create a divine spread worthy of your day. You will be able to use the venue’s tables and chairs throughout your event. The venue allows dogs throughout your ceremony but does require them to be taken off-site before your reception (service dogs will get an exception). They allow partial buy-outs of the venue for a discounted price.
With The Winslow Baltimore, you will have a dreamy industrial chic space for your wedding. Schedule your tour soon so you can decide if this is the spot for you!
