As a Maryland wedding photographer, I spend a lot of time getting to tour the best venues around the state, and I’m here to tell you all about them! If you are on the search for a gorgeous spot for your celebration, let me tell you why I think a Chesapeake Bay Beach Club Wedding might just be right for you.
500 Marina Club Road, Stevensville, Maryland 21666
For over 20 years, Chesapeake Bay Beach Club has been a local leader in service and hospitality. The center is always looking for ways to improve. Since they opened their doors, they have performed extensive renovations four times to ensure their clients are getting nothing less than the best. They now operate a boutique hotel, a farm-to-table restaurant, a full-service salon and spa, and a luxury retail store. No matter how much they have expanded, however, they remain true to their original vision of being a thoughtful small business where each of the more than 100 employees is treated like family.
Whether you want a dreamy outdoor beach wedding or a climate-controlled indoor wedding, Chesapeake Bay Beach Club has the best options for you. The venue has four distinct ballrooms, three of which allow you to use the lawn for your wedding. You will have a sunny, grassy yard overlooking the Chesapeake with all three. The proximity to the buildings will also ensure you’re never too far away from indoor amenities.
For couples who would prefer to keep things indoors, you can use the Beach House Ballroom, the Tavern Ballroom, the Inn Ballroom, or the Sunset Ballroom. The Beach House and the Tavern have a more rustic, nautical theme, while the Sunset and the Inn are sophisticated and neutral spaces just waiting for your decor!
The venue specializes in indoor receptions that allow your guests to dance the night away! All four of the Ballrooms can be transformed into reception spaces with top-of-the-line accommodations for your guests. All the spaces are equipped with artificial light and floor-to-ceiling windows, so you can have beautifully lit portraits for every portion of your day.
Many couples use the lawns as an outdoor cocktail space between the ceremony and the reception. With this option, your guests will have a verdant space overlooking the Chesapeake Bay where they can chat while enjoying signature drinks. The Rooftop Deck of the Tavern Ballroom features a full exterior bar and offers some of the best views around. The Beach House is also connected to the Tavern Bayside and Breezeway, and you can mark off this area for your cocktail hour.
The luxury hotel offers plenty of space to use as a bridal suite or a groom’s room before your wedding begins. You’ll have a comfortable space to relax with your party as you put on the finishing touches. The venue even has specialty hair and makeup services courtesy of its on-site salon!
The venue is ready to accommodate as many guests as you want for your day. For intimate weddings, the Inn Ballroom is your best spot. This area can hold up to 75 guests with a dance floor and up to 100 on a tented terrace. The Tavern Ballroom has a total capacity of 160 guests. The Beach House can accommodate up to 180 guests with a dance floor and 220 guests when using the Tavern Bayside and Breezeway. Finally, the Sunset Ballroom can host up to 220 guests with a dance floor and up to 310 with dancing in the Garden Room.
The venue is both modern and romantic, with details across the venue. With the Beach House and the Tavern, you will have white walls with wooden rafted cathedral ceilings. There are a few nautical accents, such as signs and anchors, but it will still blend in seamlessly with your decor. The Inn Ballroom and the Sunset Ballroom both feature neutral white walls, large windows, and chandeliers. The gardens have fences and plants to separate the areas.
When you get married at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club, there’s no doubt that you have to take pictures overlooking the water! There are multiple private walkways that will let you access the sandy shores. The gardens have pergolas where you can sneak a kiss between the ceremony and the reception. You can also use the rooftop decks for pictures with an unforgettable view.
Chesapeake Bay Beach Club knows how to leave you feeling positively spoiled throughout your wedding. To begin with, you will be partnered with an event planner who will help you iron out all the details of your wedding day. They will take all the stress out of planning so you can have a truly wonderful celebration. The venue will take care of all the food and drinks. You will get servers for your meal, and they will provide the tables, the chairs, and the linens. The venue has ample parking, and the center will provide you with transportation if you need it. Finally, the rooms at the inn will give you and your guests a comfortable space to stay before and after the wedding.
