Details of the Grounds
The Herring Bay Gardens tend to be a favorite spot for outdoor weddings. This space brings you as close to the Bay as you could want. An arched pergola has been built at the front of the space and serves as a popular space for couples to exchange vows. Two palm trees stand proudly behind the pergola, and you’ll be just feet from the beach. The ambiance of the waves will elevate your wedding.
You are also able to use the Polynesian Lawn for an outdoor wedding venue. This area features vibrant native plants and a waterfall across the grounds.
For an indoor venue, you can use the Herrington Yacht Club. This elegant space features high ceilings and white walls that you can elevate with your decorations.
The venue has several indoor and outdoor spaces you can utilize for your reception. The Herrington Yacht Club features three ballrooms, including the Harbor View Ballroom on the lower level, a Chesapeake Ballroom on the upper level, and the Harbor Deck. All spaces feature plenty of room where you can raise a glass to the next chapter of your story.
For an outdoor venue, you can use the Paradise Ballroom. This space is just outside of the Polynesian Lawn and provides a large event tent with plenty of space for dancing. You can have the venue take down the tent if you would prefer and have your reception completely open.

Herrington on the Bay is ready to accommodate weddings of all sizes! The Herrington Ballroom can accommodate up to 170 guests, and the Paradise Ballroom can host up to 350 guests.

Once you book, you’ll be assigned event planners who are going to make sure every second of your wedding lives up to your expectations. Their catering team provides a large menu with adaptable dishes so you can create the meal that works best for your day. They are able to work around special requirements and diets to ensure everyone gets the chance to enjoy it! Once your day arrives, you will have a day-of coordinator who will keep the entire event running smoothly.
The venue also has fire pits throughout where your guests can relax and warm up by the fire as necessary. The venue offers an inn with overnight accommodations so you can have a comfortable space to crash after a night of partying. The next day, you can wake up and enjoy a brunch prepared by their exceptional catering staff.
