Baltimore Country Club has spent over 100 years providing people with a luxurious haven where they could escape from the pressures of their day-to-day lives. The center first opened its doors in January of 1898 and quickly became a staple in the community. Right away, the 150-acre venue had over 600 members. The year after opening, it hosted the fifth United States Open Championship in golf. The center was such a success that it soon expanded to Five Farms in Lutherville, Maryland.
Over the years, it has seen triumphs and tragedies. The 1930s brought two fires that destroyed the house beyond repair. In 1932, the country club was rebuilt, creating a masterpiece of a building that seamlessly mixed together architectural styles from across global history. Since that fateful decade, the club has only gotten better. Today, you’ll find tennis courts, squash courts, pools, and more. The country club has been recognized as a top 50 country club in America as well as a top 100 in the world.

The venue offers stunning indoor and outdoor weddings so you can have the perfect day! The interior features the Federal-style Georgian Room and Main Lounge. This space features off-white walls with white archways, a marble fireplace, and a rich red patterned carpet. For couples wanting an outdoor wedding, you can use the North Lawn. The area is surrounded by tall shrubs that provide extra privacy from the world outside. Two stone staircases, as well as a small grassy slope, lead from the main building to the area, and you will be able to set up an aisle as you see fit.
The Georgian Room is your place for an indoor reception. This elegant space will give your guests plenty of space to celebrate and dance as you toast to the future. If you would prefer to have an outdoor reception, the venue will let you use the Patio overlooking the North Lawn.

There are quiet brick walkways and meticulously maintained gardens you can also use for this portion. The get-ready rooms provide plenty of lighting for individual portraits. Finally, the arched covered front porch is the ideal place to take pictures with the venue prominently in the background.
Wedding Details
Because the Baltimore Country Club wedding venue is private, all events must be hosted or sponsored by a member of the club. From there, the venue is going to help you out every step of the way. They offer two packages: one with a 10-hour rental block and one with an all-day rental starting at 10:00 AM. You will work with event coordinators who will ensure every part of your wedding falls perfectly into place.
Their skilled catering team is ready to create the best menu for your party. You’ll be able to select from a long list of hors d’oeuvres and entrees. They let you create signature cocktails and give you several options for your bar. The venue offers customized wedding cakes and tons of options, including fondant.
