THE BEST COMFY WEDDING SHOES TO DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY

Ah, bridal shoes, It’s easy to get lost in all the sparkle and shine, I know I love looking at wedding shoes, even though I am not getting married. But when it comes to all-day wear, you want style and comfort, or at least a good mix of both. So I bring to you a list so you can find the perfect comfortable wedding shoe that still bring the glitz of a wedding day.

My secret for photographing weddings is actually to change shoes at some point, that changes the way your feet are being touched and also the sole lets your foot rest in some areas it was strained before, so the same principle can be applied to party mode.

Let’s start from the beginning, all we?

BRIDAL SLIPPERS

At the beginning of your big day, you’re donned in your cute pj’s getting your mimosas on, and getting your hair and makeup done, you want to be comfy but cute. Slippers are the perfect shoe for the occasion. For an everyday look, try these instead and if you’re looking for a fun feathery twist, these are adorable!

SNEAKERS

A classic style is the KEDS sequin sneaker. Some brides opt to wear these as their all-day wedding shoes, while others get them for their after-party post-ceremony. And of course, this post wouldn’t be complete without a little bit of Betsey Johnson’s bedazzled shoes too. The ones shown below are the Sidny and they come in silver, ivory (my favorite), and many more fun colors.

If you are purchasing sneakers (or any shoes) that have spikes or rough edges, keep in mind that if you have lace in your dress, or tulle underneath, those can get stuck in the rough edges and make for an uncomfortable experience. These shoes shown here have more rounded sequins and should not cause any issues with snagging or pulling on your dress.

LOW HEELS & FLATS

It wouldn’t be a wedding shoe blog post without mentioning the classic Badgley Mischka. Their iconic rhinestone designs are sure to make an appearance at every wedding season and for good reason, their shoes are stunning. They offer a variety of low-heel styles and even flats. The Ginny is an absolutely timeless look and it comes in a low-heel option and a flat version too! The heeled option is low enough to still give you all-day comfort, but if height is a concern, the flat is there for you. Another flat option we have these adorable rhinestone pointy flats from Betsey Johnson with pearls all over them.

Did you know that Loeffler Randall also carries their signature Dahlia shoes in a low-heel option? They sure do! And I was so excited when I saw them at a wedding! I have to say, today’s market for low heels and stylish shoes is much better served than it was in previous generations.

Another beautiful and fashion-forward option is the Badgley Mischka Remi and while I lack the words to describe this gorgeous heel, their website described it to a T “Whether you describe it as waved, ruffled or almost floral in design, the Remi’s eye-catching pièce de resistance is the asymmetric adornment at the toe of the shoe. This feature perfectly contrasts with the delicate kitten heel. The Remi is unique in its bold yet graceful design”.
