For my 31st birthday, I decided to put together a little french inspired party to say goodbye to our friends in Georgia too. After 6 years, we’re moving on, and without the military! Keep reading for my french birthday party with inspired decor, food, and a drunk barbie cake.
I shopped around for the decor at craft stores and decided to make some tea sandwiches, Brazilian style, and attempt a mirror-glaze layer cake, and ended up making some leek ricotta hand pies, coconut macaroons, and cheddar cheese spread for crackers and I found some champagne jelly beans, how cool is that? They actually taste like champagne too!
My drunk barbie cake haha compliments of my dear friend Brittany who let us use her house as a venue.
This awesome pinata was actually handmade by Kyle! I helped him glue the tissue paper on it, but he did the structure and most of the cutting too. I love how it turned out!
We ended up having a good time and I am so proud of my cake!!! I am not the best cake baker so I am surprised at how good this turned out!
